Most party-goers from Day 1 managed to overcome their hangovers and make it back to Westpac Stadium for Day 2.
Despite the local New Zealand team being bundled out in their semi-final with Samoa, the crowd was in good voice all day, cheering the underdogs, booing the overdogs (and Australia), cheering each other and finally cheering the overall winners, Fiji.

Day 1 of the NZI Sevens was pool play day. Four pools of four teams each fought it out amongst themselves to see which eight teams would go on to fight out the Cup and which eight teams would go on to fight out the Bowl.
